When to Send
Standard wedding: 6-8 months before the wedding date
Destination wedding: 8-12 months before
Holiday weekend wedding: 8-10 months before
Why Timing Matters
Save-the-dates are about giving guests enough lead time to block the date, request time off work, and begin making travel arrangements. Sending too early (over a year) risks the cards being forgotten. Sending too late defeats their purpose.
